Chopin Museum
On the east side you can find the Chopin Museum, which is a very popular museum to Poland’s favourite composer. There are interactive guides and its a fun museum. However, tickets can be hard to get on the day so make sure you reserve them in advance.
Take a free walking tour
There are several tour companies offering free walking tours. The touristy areas of Warsaw are the right size for a walking tour - they will show you areas you may have missed, but its all quite accessible with a short walk.
(You might be expected to tip - so its not really free but you can choose how much to tip)
Gestapo Headquarters Museum
If you want a sad day out then checkout the Gestapo Headquarters Museum. It is full of history and explains the issues Polish people faced against the gestapo and their abuse. This is a free museum.
National Museum
Poland’s biggest museum is the National Museum and can be found in Warsaw. You can find ancient artifacts, sculptures, paintings and more.
We would recommend a guided tour - prices start at around 200 PLN.
Palace of Culture and Science
The Palace of Culture and Science is a huge building that can be seen from all over the city. The soviets built it in the 1950s. You can go up the 42 floors (luckily there is a lift) and you will not get better views of the city than from the top of this building.
